Amy Hancock, LMHC

Amy has 17 years of combined experience in direct clinical services and administration in the behavioral healthcare field. Her wide range of experience includes family, individual, and group counseling. She has worked with adults who have co-occurring disorders, trauma, HIV/AIDS and families with a codependency focus. Amy has also managed specialized programs for veterans and pregnant/post-partum women with children in a residential treatment setting. In addition to counseling, she has worked with community partners to facilitate case management services for patient care that includes medical services, employment, and housing. She has held positions as therapist, clinical supervisor, and residential program manager. As a program manager she oversaw clinical staff and the day to day operations of a residential treatment facility. Amy began her career at Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center as the director of behavioral health services in 2018 where she has worked with the core team and the medical director to develop the programmatic structure of the facility that includes all clinical and medical services. She currently manages the day to day operations of the facility, which includes providing supervision to all clinical and administrative staff. Amy is responsible for overseeing compliance with the Florida Department of Children and Families and joint commission standards. In addition, Amy maintains a small patient caseload, and she provides individual and group therapy. Amy received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.
